Frequently Asked Questions

Are your Classified Ads printed in newspapers or magazines?

No. Our Classifieds Ads are 100% online based. We do not print any any publication or circulation. This allows us greater flexibility to ad images, emojis and change or remove an ad in an instant!

Can I place an ad if I live outside of Australia?

Absolutely. Our Personal Connections page is open to all Over-60s across the globe.

Which web Browser should I use to place an ad?

We recommend that you use the Chrome web browser when submitting and viewing your ad. This should not impact you if you are using Internet Explorer, Safari or Firefox, but there may be some functionality limitations. Chrome icon looks like this:

Can I edit my ad once it has been submitted and paid for?

Yes. As part of your personal ad, you can change/edit your ad once after your initial ad has been published. You can have your ad removed at any time.

Can I cancel my ad?

Yes. You can cancel your ad at any time. Please note that by cancelling your ad, it will be removed permanently. Any time remaining on the ad will be forfeited, and cannot be claimed at a later date. Please allow up to 24 hours for your ad to be removed from the date of request.

Are there any additional costs after placing my Ad?

No. Once you select your Ad duration and any extra add-ons (if applicable), that is the final cost. We will let you know a few days before your ad is set to expire, and should you want to renew/extend, we will send you a new payment invoice. There are no rollovers so needn’t worry about auto-renewals.

Do you accept refunds if I change my mind?

No. We do not offer refunds or credit if you have a change of mind or want o remove your Ad early. Once your payment has been accepted and we publish your Ad, we cannot refund.

Can I add a picture in my ad?

Absolutely. You can add a picture under the Premium rate. This is an option that separates our Personal Connections page from the other. Giving your ad more personality. You can add an image of yourself, or perhaps your pet or favourite destination or picture. Whatever you want (within reason)! We don’t allow nudity or political messages.

Do I need a login or username to post an ad?

No you don’t. Simply submit your ad via the webform and we’ll do the rest. This means you don’t need to worry about passwords and usernames. It’s super simple and very secure.

What happens once I submit my ad?

• Once you submit your Ad, we will review it within 24 hours (weekends may be longer).
• If your Ad has been approved* we will email you a payment notice.
• Once payment is received, your Ad will be published. We will notify you via email once it is live.
• Your invoice reference will be marked on the Ad under “Ref: XYZ”. This will be how we identify any replies.
• Your Ad will be displayed on our Classifieds page for a min period of 1-month (or longer) from the date of payment (not the date of submission).

*If your Ad is not approved, we will notify you with a reason why and assist in updating it.

How can I pay for my ad?

You can pay via credit card or PayPal. Once your ad has been approved, we will send you a secure payment slip where you can select the card type and payment options.

Is my Ad automatically renewed and charged accordingly?

No. There are no rollovers so needn’t worry about auto-renewals. We will let you know a few days before your ad is set to expire, and should you want to renew/extend, we will send you a new payment invoice.

What happens once I pay for my ad?

• Once payment is received we’ll publish your ad and notify you with the link to view.
• You will be given an invoice reference allocated as “Ref: XYZ”.
• Your Ad will be displayed on our Classifieds page for a min period of 1-month from the date of payment (not the date of submission).
• To remove your Ad for any reason, you can email us at classifieds@60plusclub.com.au and include your allocated “Ref” number in the subject line or body email.

If your Classifieds are online, will Google index my ad?

No. Whilst our Classifieds are online based, we have set our Classifieds pages to not be crawled by search engines. This means any information that is published online will not be accessible or saved after we have deleted your ad.

Privacy: Is my identity protected on your website?

Yes. We have added an extra layer of protection to your profile by approving all ads within our platform and not allocating anyone a login. You information is stored securely in our servers.

Note: We do not save or store your credit card information, this is stored with a secure third-party vendor.

Site security: Is your website secure if I use my credit card?

Yes, 100%. We do not handle or store any credit card information on our servers or systems. All credit card information is securely protected and handled by a certified third-party payment vendor.
